Ways to Lose WeightWhen looking for ways to lose weight I hope  you realize that like anything that is worthwhile you sometimes have to work hard and be patient.   By thinking that eating less and exercising more 50 pounds will be gone in a week, that just is not going to happen.  It’s just not reasonable to think that you are going to lose weight fast, and keep it off, you will be very disappointed.

What you need to do is, as suggested within these pages, is focus on losing one pound at a time that way following your new diet, nutrition, exercise program, you will most likely succeed and you will most likely continue to be successful!

Why Are You Looking for Ways to Lose Weight?

For the majority of people wanting to loose weight is linked to physical appearance.  Excess weight does have an impact on our self esteem.  If we believe we are not attractive and appealing we begin to feel less about our self-worth and value which can lead to self-destructive behaviors, such as overeating and gaining more weight.

It may help if you think of what it is you want to achieve and find something that will help to keep you motivated and keep yourself focussed on what exactly it is you want to achieve.

I’m sure you have others that tell you you need to loose weight, i.e. doctors, your family, your friends but, ultimately, the only person that can make that decision to begin your weight loss goal is YOU and only YOU.  It is totally up to you to take that first step, to find out ways to lose weight and to stick with a plan and follow through to the end.

If you have decided to make this journey to losing weight and once you get there, to maintaining your weight, you will need to realize something very important.  YOU will need to make a total life-change.  This isn’t a one time thing of losing weight and then falling back to your old habits.  This change requires 100% commitment because without that you may as well not even start.

So, how do you get started?  You need to start one step at a time.  You need to create a plan of action and be ready to follow through every day.  Think about this journey to new health and fitness in very small steps.

The first step is making the commitment to succeeding, truly believing you can succeed, and picturing yourself having already succeeded.

So, ask yourself this…..are you committed to this life changing experience? Are you ready for a New You?  If the answer is a resounding YES, then you are on your way to being successful!

What do you do now to learn ways to lose weight?

You now need to figure out how you are going to lose weight.  With all the places both online and offline that claim they have the “one and only” way to weight loss success, how do you decide?
